About me
Liz Evans (She/her) MBACP
I'm a qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a private practice in the market town of Buckingham . I also offer sessions online.
My journey into counselling
I came to counselling because I believe deeply in the power of being truly heard. Throughout my own life I have experienced how transformative it can be to have a safe, non-judgemental space to explore what's going on — and I wanted to offer that to others.
I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions and more. I also have a particular passion for supporting parents of children with additional needs, having navigated those challenges myself as a parent of an autistic daughter.
Whatever brings you to counselling, I will meet you with warmth, curiosity and respect — and we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
What I believe in
Compassion
I bring genuine warmth and care to every session. You will always feel welcomed and valued.
Collaboration
Counselling is a partnership. We work together, at your pace, towards what matters to you.
Authenticity
I show up as my genuine self. I believe real connection is the foundation of meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches,
I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of effective therapy. My aim is always to offer you a warm, genuine and non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard and understood.
I see you as the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and empathy, helping you to explore your experiences, gain insight and move towards the changes that matter to you.
